The FRDO and the FRSO network provide a number of services highlighted below relative to proposal planning, editing, and preparation. If you would like to request this kind of support, please click the button below. The Office of the Vice President for Research also provides faculty on campus access to external review services provided by Hanover. More details concerning that resource are below.
Hanover Research is a global information services firm that can provide:
Proposal review/critique before you submit it to a funding agency
Funding prospect research
Literature review and best practices research
Is there a fee?
There is no direct charge to UNM faculty for this service, but requests are managed through the Faculty Research Development Office.
What is the timeline?
The company will only take on one UNM request at a time, so there is a queue.
- Proposal review/critique takes about two weeks, so PIs are encouraged to submit a draft of their proposal at least one month before the sponsor's deadline.
- Proposal rewrite/edit takes about three weeks to complete, so PIs are encouraged to submit a draft at least 1.5 months before the sponsor's deadline.
- Funding prospect searches, literature reviews, and best practice research take about three weeks. These searches are secondary to proposal reviews, so if this service is requested, please keep in mind that a proposal review or edit request will move your request down the queue.
